The Wedding Galore

The Heart Behind
The Wedding Galore.

I figured out this was my calling when I was planning my brother’s wedding over a decade ago. I loved the whole of it. I loved the beginning, when a wedding is still just an idea about how the wedding should feel and you’re sitting with the couple and hearing how they met and what they want out of all this, and by the end of it you know them properly rather than just knowing their guest count. Then I loved the long stretch after that, where you gather up the vendors and the details and the hundred small decisions and watch the thing slowly become real. It was creative and emotional, it moved fast, and it wanted my attention constantly. It suited me completely.

The Wedding Galore came out of that wedding. My team will tell you I’m Type A about it, and they’re not wrong. I want a hand in every part of the process, right down to arranging the fabric on the tables myself so it falls the way it should. I have the energy for it, which is either useful or a lot depending on who you ask. But the thing I turned out to be best at was people. Reading them. Knowing what someone needs before they’ve asked for it. Caring about a couple’s wedding the way I’d care if it were happening in my own family, and then doing that again for the next couple, and the next.
